My 155g Community Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No worries. He's my boy. Feeds from the hand and always attentive.

He's so chilled out too, never starts any disputes but ends quite a few.

Here's some pics of my Red Spotted Sev 'Tango'. He's only around 8-9" but is THICK! Not the prettiest of fish, but he's my oldest and dearest wet pet.

That sev is amazing!

Cool tank, it looks really long for a 150. Whats the dimensions?

Thanks! I'll try and get a pic of him side on so you can see how chunky he is!

The tank is a custom build into my kitchen. It's 86 x 22.5 x 18". Not ideal but as I said, got a nice 400/500g custom build for when I move into my new house.

Cheers. I can't wait to move into my new house so I can get a bigger tank... Huge pieces of wood, nice rock caves, I'm definitely gunna push the boat out on it ;)

The latest addition to the tank, a 4" Andinoacara Rivulatus - Gold Saum (False Green Terror). Cost me £4.50 which I think is pretty cheap?!

He/She is currently being hassled by my female 4" EBJD, but hopefully all will settle down soon.....

Now all I need is a nice pair of Festae and my new 300g tank!

Few more pics I've just snapped:

There's a bit of unrest in the tank at present. My male JD is unusually pale, not sure if it's due to him courting with the female EBJD? And my Rotkeil Sev is chasing my 8" Jaguar?! The Jag is normally the trouble maker and by far (if she wanted to be) the most dangerous fish in the tank...
The little Gold Saum 'Terry' has fitted in fine, however, the only fish that doesn't like him is the boss of the tank Iagu, my True Parrot.

more then likely that EBJD is a male, females are REALLY rare to find. and if you do find one, more then likely infertile.. since i been a member on here, i have only seen a couple that has had a female EBJD..

other then that. nice tank!!

I can only assume you didn't see this pic in the other thread?...

Definitely female mate ;) Those 500-1000 eggs make it pretty obvious lol
