thanks, i do like them alot. have not seen any local stores carry any channel cats. this one has had a few close calls bowfin took a bite out of it that healed so you cant even tell. it has been beat up by gars before and it comes back like nothing happened. that is the reason for the torn fin. it fights my bowfin all the time.

I think thats the nature of catfish, I have a 16" vulture cat that battles my 12" curupira, he'll have cuts and scratches one day and they're gone the next.

that is the truth gone before you think to get a pic. my channel had a jaws style shark bite mark on its side. upper jaw and lower jaw just like if you bite your arm. my bowfin tried to take a chunk of stomach out. they are fine 95% of the day. then the cat just cruzes right up to it, passes several gars and pbass directly to the bowfin. only to bite or ram it. the bowfin was just chilling on the other side of the tank and the cat just got a bug up its ass to pick on the bowfin. the bowfin being a bowfin dont take kindly to being punked and the cat runs off. the cat has about 4-6" on the bowfin.

it has been a while since i updated my bowfin. ill get a few up. ill put them in the gar/bowfin section. ill try to get to it becore i go to work tonight.
