My 18" Dovii

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just Amazing! I love the fact that he is a protector! Better keep that food coming! :WHOA:

I don;t think the 90 gallon is really that bad for it because doviis slow their growth dramatically once they hit that size, I mean it takes years and years to get to that 2 foot mark. Granted he has had him for a while, but it doesn't look scrunched or oddly shaped or stunted or anything like that.

When you get the chance to move it to the 180 or 120 I am sure the dovii will appreciate it.

Congrats to you Kevin on growing out a great dovii in a 90 u must really take great care of him lots of wc's i bet to get him to grow to the width of the tank that is just awsome u got that size out of your dovii in a 90. However i do agree with the others i would get him in the 180 asap and i would hock the other fish if needed to make room for him or just let the monster dovii gobble them up haha:headbang2 great fish dude u are a good fish keeper with pics to prove it.:thumbsup::woot::grinno:

Great pictures of your monster. Thanks for sharing. What diet do you have him on?

I have fed him strictly Hikari Cichlid gold large pellets every other day(give or take) and an earthworm or two about twice a month his whole life. Over the years I have occasionally thrown in some feeder gold fish, chunks of raw chicken and or shrimp but that was only once and awhile as a treat. His regular diet is the Hikari and occasional earthworms.

Thanks and since I plan on keeping him for another 5 or 10 years whatever his lifespan turns out to be I will be upgrading his tank you can bank on it.

Good job w/ him....Great looking Dovii. Its always nice to see one that size, to actually see what a little 3in monster can turn into. When he hits that 120 or 180 he's gonna go NUTS...LOL...
