My 180 broke upstairs in Apt.

Still holding if I have time this weekend I will drain it and try to do a better patch work but isn't a priority at this time. How long can a 14 inch RTC live in a 10 gallon aquarium?

This is supposed to be a joke rite? HA HA LOL
But if you are serious at least go buy a rubbermaid container to put your kitty in and start looking on craigslist for a tank.

I would be smacking a sheet of 10mm glass over the crack... the bigger the better. slowly the water will push the glue out and the crack will give way. if you have a sheet of glass it acts a shield + support. it wont allow the crack to increase if done right. I have cracked a few tanks and they all seem to be holding fine 1 year in with this method. if the crack is already large I would not risk it.

I agree with squirtle919, I'd get a piece of thick glass much larger than, and wherever the crack could spread and silicone it over the cracked area. And since its on the bottom, spread silicone over the entire area under the patch. I've done this before and the patch held for years.

Usually before great disaster strikes there will be 'mini' disasters that will serve as a warning for you. I'd take the hint and start skimming craigslist for a new tank and make the time to get it done. If you're busy with work I'd even call out, no days worth of work is going to be enough to pay for 180 gallons worth of water damage in someone else's living space.
