before i had all black sand and my fish just didnt seem to show up enough. specially the ray and polys. jag seemed to dark. so tonight i decided to siphon a couple bags of black sand out and add some white with it. it needs stirred up some more but im hoping the fish will do that in time. im hoping the ray and jag will lighten up in time but here are some pics of it now.

holy snaps!!!
Looks awsome, one question is how do they get along?

is that a wolf fish in there too or a cobra pike?

I have also never seen a "community" butterkoferi.. LOL I would be worried about it's temper, temper, temper...

great looking tank, having the butti in there sure is awesome, along with the rest of that aggro mix

no wolfish. its a bowfin and all get along great. the biggest problem i have is the ornate does bite at the bowfins tail sometimes.

The jag does look better, but the festae looks a bit washed out now though compared to what it looked like over the black ... course that could be from the stress of the change over.
