Little update on the tank. Ended up getting a bad case of ich in the tank while i was gone for the weekend 2 months back. Just my luck. I lost 5/6 red head geos and 1 heckelli. The tank is doing really well right now. Currently trying to decide wether or not to get more red heads or not. Just trying to think for future stocking. The heckelli are starting to color up very nicely though

I have no issues with the red tail. He just hangs out on the wood all day

i switched over from white to black sand. I have a bunch of amazon swords, java ferns, and java moss ordered as well. The colors on the heckelli are really starting to show with the dark substrate

Its all planted now. Java fern and amazon swords all around the back and java moss on the wood. I glued all the plants to broken up pieces of slate so the geos can just keep digging them up. Going 24” deep in the water every other day to replant them is super annoying
