i currently keep it with a lot of floating anacharis and water sprite...anything on the bottom will generally get uprooted and/or eaten as the fish moves throughout the tank/gets larger. floating plants seem to work best, and since they shade the light, the fish seems to be much more active under the plants as well. same goes for my annectens and South American lungfish (all in separate tanks of course). my AUL eats any plant it can get a hold of, so its tank just contains java moss on pieces of driftwood (and that gets mowed down quite often too). --
