I just traded in my Red Hook and 2 other Silver Dollars for a 3 inch Wolffish,he is not much to look at but i love those teeth!!!I put him in with my 5 inch Jag,the Jag checked him out but the Wolf seemed like he was showing the Jag his teeth and the jag has since left him alone.I love this fish!!!Any other Wolf owners here that would like to share some of your experiences??I'd love to hear them.:woot:

Congrats on your first wolf. Do you know from where it was collected?

Wolves can be down right boring if you don't condition them right and have the right setup. But if done rightly, they become very interactive. All of my wolves would greet me as I walked into the room, begging for food.

my wolf will destroy anything i put in the tank. Yours is still young, but when he gets bigger he will get more aggressive. i don't think it is a boring fish.

I got seven 1"-2"wolffish about two months ago. The first night they ate 70 feeders.
Within a week four jumped out of the tank. The three that are left grow quickly. They share a 30g with UGF with a dozen of convicts a couple of JDs, etc.
When they are hungry they try to eat the convicts.

For now you are good, but when the wolffish grows up he'll eat the Jag.

i have heard as long as the other fish kept with the wolf fish is bigger and something that it does not consider food should be all right. When my wolffish was younger it was very timid. That will change. The hard thing is the wolf fish is most active at night so you may not see fighting until its too late. I keep mine with a pictus catfish and so far no problems. Anything else does not last the night. I know wolfs and oscars do not mix. So the same probably goes with the jag. I Think one will eventually lose.
