My 2 450 Gallon tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice find, grats!!!

Pacu, red tailed catfish, and goliath African tigerfish will all outgrow these tanks.

only the red tail will. I think he knows this. it would take years for the goliath to outgrow this tank and at that point it may be the largest one in captivity. in my experience the pacu will be fine in this tank.

and op nice tanks!! im jelous

it will take years, but eventually it WILL. the pacu will also.

His point is that if it survives that long then it will be one of the longest lived ever in captivity and has suburb genetics, prestine care, perfect water conditions and no self inflicted death which sadly ussually doesnt all end up perfect. Yes the pacu could outgrow one of thse but if he has the ability to have two 400 plus take then i think.he has the means to give them a small pond or something of the nature if it came to it. This seems to be such problem here people see a 300 plus tank with custom stand and self done filtration and its assumed that the person who just dropped god knows how much money doesnt have more if they need it. I can almost promise the op is well suited to caring for any sort of fish life.

its not always money, its space.

plus I have heard of 3 foot+ tigerfish in captivity.

6x6 tank, and you're tank policing already? Not every tank is a final setup, people do upgrade if needed.

Drew is right POLE!! These are not what I plan to keep them in. I have more garages than this one and money is NOT an issue. But I dont want this to turn upside down like on other forums. So can we just squash it now that the facts are out?

Dude does there always have to be.... The " this fish is too big or that tank is too small..." seriously why even make the comment? Do u think that by commenting you are going to direct the owner into the lifelong epiphany that he needs a tank that's the size of the amazon itself? Seriously (pole), what drives u to make such a dumbass comment and then argue it? Any tank is too small in comparison to all of the natural habitats the fish come from. Is it jealousy? For real if you have something pertinent and useful to post then do so; but if your feeling like posting just to post, keep your obviously limited posting to a minimum.

Awesome tank and good luck keeping up with filtration op.
