Oh, I apologize. I must have misread the OP.
 
I would keep the better looking one if you really must let one go IMO. at least you have a good looking one right from the start and wouldn't have to wonder if the washed out one would ever change for the better.

...sorry to derail, I'm getting a few baby jags today and is very excited about having a pair. what are the pros and cons of having a sibling that paired?
 
i havent ever bread jags but when i was breeding africans peacocks the more inbread they were the more you would lose color and also have more birth defects.. i dont know if its the same with parachromis or not.. maybe ill put the bigger one up for sell but i dont think ill be able to move it. fish just dont sell around my part much anymore... another change of subject here but how long do i have to wait until my fredrichalli's start to color? right now they are abot 3.5 to 4 and have some green tint on the fins but no yellow at all this far
