my 2 jags M or F?

i dont know how big they are but they say males loose there vertical stripes and the first jag doesnt have any so if hes big id say male.

5 and 6 inches is right about where they start showing male female traits, vertical bars don't disappear yet at this point in alot of males. So bascially, they are to small to be 100 percent, but judging by characteristics only, based on shape, jaw line, darkness of markings, I would say that 90%, they are females......8 inches, you will know for sure.

The odd thing, after looking again is the 1st ones markings are looking to be a males.......kinda....except for the light spots on the jaw but the fins and body have a male look to them.

Im reserving my vote until they get slightly larger, im 50/50 on M/F or F/F

yes florida caught
have had them from about 2 or 3"
had like 5 but one went on a rampage and killed 3 of them.

the 2 i have left,
one i saved from the rampage and the other is the killer i think. lol

I think the 1st one is a male because of the pattern. 2nd is definately a female.

florida wild caught Jags seem to have a much lighter pattern to them then others so the first one may well be a male......although body shape, jaw structure and skull structure lead me to believe it's a female. Still up in the air on this one.

After looking at them again I have cast my vote #1 male, #2 female.

the second one is dedinately a female but the first one is a little hard to tell, but my best guess on the first one would be also female
