Last 2 months i had bought a Channa Maruloides.
I keep him in a 3ft cement tank with poor water condition, low ph, black water, no filters and water changing for longtime. This is my experiment to see whether it will got some flowers.

And now he got some flowers, ha.

Sorry for the poor photos and video because it is very hard to take photo and video in the dark situation.

It looks a bit skinny because i just feed it once every 2 days.
It's now 9-10 inches long.

My Channa pleuro, I got it 3 weeks ago with the price was RM4 (Ringgit Malaysia).

Cute little guy:

Have your channas ever jumped out? Because it looks like you don't have a cover on.

You asking for which channa?
For the Pleuro tank is ph 6, 29-30 degree water temp and feed twice a day.
For the Maruloides tank is ph 4-5, 28-39 degree water temp and feed once every 2 days.

Opps, forget to answer...
The Pluero mainly feed with variety type of foods (fishes, shrimps, meal wroms and etc).
And the Maruloides mainly feed with shrimps and market prawn, sometimes will feed it with super worms and frogs too.

Thanks for the comment.

Very interesting, do you have any "before" shots of marulioides before your experiment?

Channa look very nice, btw. Especially your maruliuoides! :)
