Its a spotted gar.. I mean as soon as anyone comes infront of the tank, he comes infront of the glass and starts pushing himself against it and snapping here and there. If I move m hand on the other side he does the same thing. I open the roof and he'll jump out of the water to grab my hand, which happened only once or he would either snap near the surface of the water.
 
i've never heard anything like this..haha. sounds like your gar has an attitude problem. aside from this is he normal? eating normally, swimming normally? maybe you did something to provoke it...haha i don't know i think wait for a pro to give you better answers.
