My 2 yr old arowana is floating vertically..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha, that would be amazing to see a aro in a 49 gallon. havent seen that yet.. that aro must have no space to swim and cant turn unless it breaks some back bone :p

Seen it here in a LFS. Thing is a high shine aswell. It's back is all bent

an even more amazing feat...3 aros in a 20gal:WHOA::naughty:...i don't recomend using these dividers they suck all the fish i have ever divided with them get around them some how...

i have seen a 18" silver in a 55gal...it wasn't deformed, but it wasn't behaving like a normal silver...just kinda sat in the corner...even in those cramped conditions it was that big after 1 year...it was fed hotdogs and goldfish so you can't say it had the best diet for the growth in small spaces

wow i have my aro in a 165 gallon and i want a bigger tank..that is way to small for an aro....and yes how do you get an aro to eat hod dogs ? i assume you slice it thin and drop it in...my aro is a picky eater...ill give it a shot with a small piece after some reaserch that is.........

Wow everyone here has short memories. Just less then two months ago there was a kid trying to sell his 6 year old silver aro. It was 18" long and kept in a 55g.

With no water changes and poor nutrition, I wouldn't doubt a silver only growing to 14" in two years.

Here is the link to that silver in a 55G unfortunately the pics are gone. 18"+ Silver Arowana - New York, NY - Pick-up only I also had done a thread on it, but it was deemed unuseful and closed :screwy: I guess the last thing we would want to do is to show what happens to fish kept in unsatisfactory conditions, right?

First of all I have kept-up my 49 gal tank very well, she is well fed & I have been trying my best to find a buyer, or even someone to just take her. I did months of research on arowanas before I even thought of owning one, so I know that my fish is large for the size tank I have. So before any of you go judging, and talking **** over the internet, I suggest you get the facts. Plus...learn how to spell if your gonna try & act hard. Your just making this forum a joke. I came on here looking for some facts, or information that I could use to hopefully save my fish, but apparently montserfishkeepers is a joke. This is my first time using this sight & you might as well be myspace or facebook with all the drama on here. I mean...wtf is a troll? & who would make up a word like that? Obviously your not talking about a small little man with a gem as his belly button. Come on!

Second of all.. Thank you to the few people who did respond with respect & I appreciate you taking your time to respond & give me a straight up answer. My fish is doing better- & I'm still trying to find a buyer or someone to adopt.

& third...To the rest of you people; no I'm not going back on this forum. So save your witty response for someone who gives a ****. It's pathetic that over half of the people on here, who claim to know so much, use their knowledge to try & show off, and even make fun of others.

yea dude, your the one that needs to get the facts straight... You kept a fish in a 49 gallon that eventually needs a 400g...

It should be 24in by now....
