My 20" aimara

The Nigers to sit on the rays, they sit on the Aimara too!
They're so docile that no one bothers about them, i caught the Aimara laying next to the Niger the other day without a care in the world.
Yes he does look mean, i was actually scared when i bought him because i thought he looked so mean and was only with 1 other wolf although i did know the buyer and knew he had him with other fish before - after a 2 hour journey he still tried attacking me several times when i tried to get him out the box which really made me nervous.
Anyway i threw him in the tank and was very worried about him surviving the night as my peacock bass chased him around the tank wanting to gobble him up, and boy did my Temensis think he was capable too!

I had to fill them all up before bed, after a couple of days i noticed a very brave attitude from the Aimara as he sat in the middle of the water in the middle of the tank, i thought this was odd, i studied the tank for a while and noticed him chasing anyone who would come near him.

A few days passed and a peace was made, they all swim around each other now and on the very rare occasion will i see the Aimara look at another fish but if he does, it's merely a look then the other fish swims away and all is well.

He did make a real mess of my Tigrinus in the process though!

Sweet man! Congrats ... always love to see a community predator tank, very nice! Best of luck with him, he is nasty looking!

Looks great on that lighter substrate. It really lightens his coloration up and brings out the spotting pattern on his head.
