My 24 incher Chad Polypterus bichir bichir

This gorgeous 24 incher breeder size Chad Pbb has been with me for the past 9 months.I feed him fresh prawns and fresh chicken heart every other day or at times everyday.This monster Pbb is being kept in solitary confinement in my 100gallon bare tank.The tank bottom is painted red while the rear tank glass panel is covered by black aquariumposter.Filtration used is a 5 feet long UP Aqua overhead filter filled with Mr Aqua and Resun ceramic rings.The pump with a flow rate of 2000liters per hour is also provided by a pre filter cartridge.I am also adding Mr aqua or Azoo black water solution weekly after every water change.Thanks to Archie and Jolo who are my friends and brothers in the Philippine Bichir Brotherhood for the beautiful photos that they took of my Pbb.Thanks for viewing everyone.Happy bichir keeping.God bless!:)
 
Very nice looking PBB. I love the contrast as well the color between the upper jaw with white lower jaw. Best not to feed it to much prawn or any crustaceans. You don't wanna let it have too much thiamese as it could lead to internal problema such as internal bleeding of the lungs and other organs. Fresh fish would be better (not frozen).
