here in Egypt the young GG about 2" maybe about ranged from 4-6 u.s $ maybe more according to his type while the adult small normal gourami about 1-2 $ something like that

He was sold to me as a blue gourami for $2.95. I didnt evern know he was a giant until he outgrew 2 tanks in just a few months:nilly:
 
Just saw "piggy" in person a have to say it is a true monster!! Gonna say 24 inches at least, makes my 18in Umbee look small. D has done a great job raising and caring for this fish. Going to stop by again and get some hi-res pics.
 
It was nice meeting you, and seeing that monster. Your GG is probably the largest fish I've seen in home aquaria

Is this the reason you ended up with such a big tank? If so kudos to you my friend! Alot of people would have just dumped the fish off somewhere! The whole tank looks great. I love how all those smaller africans are in there with that gentle giant. He reminds me of a whale shark for some reason.
 
i fear for your frontosa lol he is going to grow slower than the rest. hopefully he'll be able to keep up with those much faster and more aggressive malawi. just keep an eye on him and he'll be fine.
