you could get a pacu if you like them, they get really really big really fast. you should get a jaguar cichlid, the aro, for sure the bichirs, a fire eel, a knife, and a red tail catfish depending on your dimensions.

my dimensions are 8''long 2''wide and i believe 21/2-3''tall i know the aro will probably out grow the 250 but i plan on later getting a 1000g within the year or so. then i can mover the bigger fish in there. i already have the bichirs. and thanks for all your guys help so far and i wanted to put some kind of sand and maybe a feew rocks for the bichir's to hide in. other than that is going to be mostly it. now i was wonering if i could put some gars in there?

I this that is to small because Of the footprint, A aro depending on what kind, will need a tank that is at min the with of the length length they are. So if you would got one of the smallest aros which would be a asian(red) aro they can grow 24-36 inches full grown.
