Thanks man... any plans for future predators to go in there?

I just put my 7'' GAFT and took out the Dorado, I will see if he survives. I really don't want the Dorado to be honest. I am not a fan of the trout look. Plus I have BLK bar silver dollar to swim back and forward. Dorado are really not impressive for me. I only bought him originally because I thought it would be a nice change of color to all the silver fish I knew i had, thinking that he would be gold, but to my surprise, they really don't get gold until I guess they are well over 24 inches. As for anymore predators, I think I'm pretty much stocked. (1 14'' tig cat, 1 14''armatus, 1 7''Gaft, 1 14'' silver, 2 9'' blk arro, 4 8'' blk bar sd, 1 7'' G Terror, 2 knives 1 12'' albino, 1 12'' Royal knife, 3 12'' rays leo/bd,tiger, motoro, 1 8'' tem, 5''orino, 8'' ocell bass, 2 6'' synspilus cichlids, 3 dats, 2 7&8''Indo 1 6'' ntt, 3 7'' clown loaches, and a FRT. I'm good. lol Actually I want about three 7'' super red severums and maybe a male 7'' j demspey to add a little more color.

Any new pics of your tank?

BTW I added a Dorado to my 15k last year. It was a real eyeopener. He was about 15" and once adjusted to the tank just cleaned out dozens of cichlids 5" or smaller. Friends visiting have been riveted to him in his never stopping search to eat whatever he can. He eats pellets and thawed mackerel, smelt and herring also in huge amounts. You are right on about the gold colour too. Mine is still silver bodied and about 17" now. However in natural sunlight (Window faces into the tank on one side) a glimmer of gold is starting to show.

My Boulengerchromis is the only fish in the tank that will turn on him and put him in his place at present.

I took some pictures a few days ago, just have not had time to post them. My dorado is not tha tbad with other fish, though he if's at them, he does no damage. Plus I have a few fish that keep him in check, Tem bass, green terror, and Dats. I was hoping for a gold fish and it s not happening, I hvae enough long silver fish with three arrownas, so he's on the for sale block.

Wow, the rays look great!
Still have not heard back from PM i sent about rays availale
Thanks Mike! I have not heard back from PM i sent about rays availale yet also
I like the tiger patterns the best. Though everyone was correct in that tigers are so passive when it comes to anything, I see why its so hard to keep them alive for long periods, especially right after coming from the wild. If I drop twenty large worms in the tank amonsgt the rays, the Tiger just lets the Leo and Motoro push him all out the way. When food is scarces, I have to actually get my long extention, put worms in it and put it right in fornt of him, while keeping the other rays away. Lazy lil fella! But he eats good, just does not pounce on the worms like the others.

I like...

Thanks
