Thanks guys. My Substrate is a mix of Pool Filter Sand from Leslies, some slightly larger "Natural" colored Gravel from any local LFS, and some larger pebbles I bought in a jar at Petsmart. Wanted to give various grain sizes which i picked up in a tip from seeing all those gorgeous tanks from Lee Nuttal. THat guys a genius.
Thanks on the background comments....I use the "Rocky Wall" one from "Universal Rocks". Its an easy install as you just silicone it to the back and its inexpensive compared to the more intricate 3D ones where you gotta give up tank space, install equipment behind the background...and then worry about stagnant water pockets. I highly recommend them and theirs a shop in NJ that has the best prices so its not too much of a bite out of your wallet. PM me and I'll give you the website to order.
