None of them will have perfect vertical stripes, no species of pseudoplatystoma does. They all pretty much have similar patterns to tigers, hence the common name, hehe. And they are all different. I can't wait to get my 670 built, then I'll probably get a TSN and a juruense, but for now, a marbled catfish, 7 peacock bass, a silver arowana and 2 largemouth's are a lot to take care of haha. They aren't all in the same tank, they are all still growouts hehe. Probably going to have to cave in to a stock tank before too long. Just had a yard sale and cleared out my garage to make a lot of room for the build though. :grinno:

i ment not all like this one...one would be ok but i like the retic's pattern...and a more randomness to the striping...

i am looking for p. bass for my tank now, and i have a lmb now

Pbass aren't hard to find. And that one you linked through planet catfish is definitely not yours as yours are more than likely farm bred down in south america and would not turn out to be a surprise like a really rare pseudoplatystoma would.

p. bass are hard for me to find without paying a million bucks for them....i ment with a similar pattern, i have seen some with nearly vertical patterns like that one and that is my referince...i know they are from columbia and most likely a farm, but that doesn't mean that they can't get a more vertical pattern...i just hope they stay extra random like they are now, with the one showing more vertical pattern...also in regards to the p. bass i would like to get larger ones thus my extencive search...i don't have a growout at the moment so i need to find some that wont get eatten by my; aro, tsns, gar or any combination of them..

they are about 2 months old, i got them at 3" now a solid 8"...they have strongly diff patterns as i saw as 3 inchers, and the head structure is diff on all three also...one has a wider ,longer, squarer skull...one is cream in color with slightly smaller head all around and rounder nose...the third one has the smallest skull, more pointed nose and a downward slope to the skull also...i did a thread before about maybe having diff subspeices, i still think there is a chance any thoughts?...idk were they came from as in witch river...any thoughts are welcome!!......also the one with the scuff on its head got it by trying to attack a chunk of shrimp on my intake screan for my fx5...

Wow, nice differen't combo. You make me want to buy a juvie, and raise him up so I can watch the patterns change. I have a 18"er, but I bought him this big.
Very nice tsn's.

thanx...i have had a total of 5 tsns...first one i put it in the big tank at 3" never saw it again, next one at 4" died do to tank crashing, now these 3 are doing great...i got three just incase i had an issue with any dieing then i would have others to hopefully live on but they all are fine....i got a good deal on them $12 each, now the same store has 3-6" for $30 each
