My 300 Gallon Money Pit

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Bump so that I can keep a watch on this. Love the stand.

Nice project. Love the Bio Tower.

Interesting. Can we have more details?

2 toddlers, 2 properties to maintain, wife working weekends = no time to finish closed loop filtration. Once winter arrives and the two properties don't need attention other than snow removal I plan on finishing this overly drawn out project. :)

The fish are all doing great and the Oscars are growing nicely! I'm doing a 25% water change on Saturday then another 25% on Sunday every week keeping nitrates below 12ppm.

Can we have more details?

Ask away!

a year and 7 months and it aint done yet, holy crap.

nice setup you got going. but i woulda been way more motivated to finish it the first month i bought it...

Thanks again to all!

of course you need to get more scrubbies

More?! :nilly: My wife thought I was nuts when she saw the amount I already have in there. 0 Ammonia and 0 Nitrites so all is well so far.

If I wasn't raising babies and building a house 90% by myself, trust me, it would have been finished by now. ;) Not to mention the 3 surgeries that my wife has undergone in that time.

Here is a video I made last week. Nothing fancy.

Construction updates to come this Winter, I promise. ;)

I feel your pain Bud8Fan. These guys have'nt a clue evidently. I always told my son.."things will change when you grow up". Now he knows what I meant.:WHOA:
