After 2.5 month of waiting, I finally picked up the tank on monday!(pictures tomorrow)

Lessons:

1) Pay attention to the height of the stand...the setup looks nice but the entire thing is a couple of inches taller than me...
2) 30 inches is REALLY deep, especially on a tall stand with enclosed top. I can't reach the bottom and I have to loop a rope through the holes in my holey rock to safely lower it to the tank
3) Don't over look the size/weight of the stand. I am glad I didn't go for the 30" wide 24" deep tank. The stand would not have made it in the house.
4) Buying 3 friends good lunches is better and more economical than hiring people standing outside Uhaul.

Now, I need to wash my sand and try to setup electricals :)

Located one picture...Anyway, due to popular demand(my five year old) I will be keeping smaller, colorful fish...to me that means African Haps/Peacocks.

If I had to do over again, I would pay extra to have larger openings. I only have 4 opennings with 8 inches x 17 inches...that is why all the driftwood you see are the long skinny types.

That looks really cool! I bet i'll look cool when you get it all set too.
I hope to get a big tank one day.

That tank looks great! I am planning on getting the same size as you (except 30" wide x 24" deep) but I may have to change that. I never thought about getting the stand in the house. You're right! 30" deep by probably 3' tall (havent given any thought to the stand dimensions) most likely wont be fitting through a door. :( I was going to stock mine full of Trophs.
