My 300 is finally here :)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
people like you make me feel like my 125g is too small :)

How do you think I feel with only a 75? Sure everyone I know in real life thinks it huge, I think it is tiny and weak. Fortunately I have the perfect spot for a 10 footer, unfortunately, I don't have $.

To the OP, tank looks great, can't wait to see it with some life in it

shame on you ecoli, for making me drool on my keyboard like that.
have you had the "no swimming with the fishies" discussion with the kids yet?
it looks well lit, are you using LED's?

Marineland double brights, 48inches-60inches. I have 2 of them...

There are 2 annoying thing with this otherwise decent lighting strip:

1) There are no separate power lines for blue and white leds...this means I can not auto time my moonlights. I can only turn on everything and shut off everything.
2) I have two of them and with the mounting legs, they are longer than my tank. I maybe able to take off the legs and put a block underneath them but right now they are at an angle.

Light level is white and bright. The water in my last picture is actually tea colored...Also, if the lights are above you(like when I sit in my dining room), without anything blocking the slot between the fixture and the tank top, the light that escapes are bright and annoying to my eyes. Works great in the tank though.

they look interesting. I don't run nightlights so the single powerline would be ok with me. only thing is the LED's are rated for 17,000 hours and running 12 hours a day means about 4 year lifespan. can you get replacement led's? I did a search but didn't find any.

nice! your lucky yyours is acrylic! mine is all glass and is 36wide 72long and 30 tall.... took 6 guys to get it in my house!! no more glass for me!!
that looks awesome tho! very nice tank
