don't they fight? no nipping of fins or what so ever that could put any fish in danger? esp for the kois? i also have a 3000 gallon pond with 20 small to mid size kois and a 500 gallon pond with 2 silver aro, 1 rtc and 4 bichir. im planning on putting them all in the 3000 gallon pond but afraid that they wont go well together in a pond?

Nope no fighting. No nipping of fins either. Everyone amazingly lives in perfect harmony. Will be posting a Night Time Video of the pond soon with my DIY LED project.

Amazing! I have been planning on doing this with my pond for months. I have a separate pond for my silver aro, bichir and rtc. And another for my cichlids. And the 3600 gallon koi pond. Lol. Too many filter system... But now that i saw yours. Looks like they can be placed in one pond. Really amazing!! :)

Yes they can live together. All the monster fishes were put in after the smaller fishes (cichlids etc...). Also the Red tail catfish went in at about 10". The Aro was around 18" when placed in pond. The Arapaima were about 10".
So they grew up with the other fish in the pond. I think that is the trick. Letting them grow from small with the other fishes.
