If it was just damage to the actual fin tissue, it would likely grow back normally. The Fire Eel I had many years ago suffered the loss of most of one of its pectorals and the fin grew back good as new. But if the damage extends into the actual "meat", then there's a good chance that the fin will never grow back to its original form and colour.
It does unfortunately look like the original wound extends past the fin and into the muscle tissue. But it has healed up quite quickly and will likely continue to improve beyond this point. I think you'll just need to keep maintaining your good water quality and nutrition and keep your fingers crossed.
