where abouts in virginia are you? i was born in Roanoke but moved to the uk when i was 2 years old.

I'm a bit stuck on how to finish things up, regarding tanking it out. I have applied several coats of epoxy to both the tank and filter, the filter held water for several days on a test but started a small leak, kind loosing faith in epoxy, well really loosing faith but i'm wondering after reading several builds, mainly yours recently, should i use liquid rubber to finish coating the tank/filter instead of more epoxy, your tank is up and running which fills me with confidence on the liquid rubber. cheers, mike
My tank is doing great and I love the LR, very nice to work with. I have added more comments over on your thread.
how's the tank now Ross?got any up to date pics? I'm doing somer more coats of epoxy on mine starting tomorrow. fingers and toes crossed!
Tank is going strong with no issues. The last pics I took were after the exterior was fisnished (pg 34). Not much has changed since that. I have had no leaks, even with the overflow install and the new sumps are great. Should have gone in that direction the first time.
Good to hear. Mine has been holding water 1/2 way all week soaking my driftwood. Setting up Monday!
John, if you are having problems getting your driftwood so stay down I screw pieces of plexiglass on the bottom of mine and weighted that down with the substrate. Worked like a charm!
