I'm actually a bit jealous... that tank looks like it would be perfect for building a paludarium or doing a planted tank... the heights not too tall, and its not too deep but def. more than long enough...

It'll be interesting to see how the progress comes along... especially with the grass on the bottom of the tank...

I've been keeping this baby under wraps, but since you're the only other paludarium guy I know that's active on the forum I'll show you what my paludarium build is going to be in:

41 gallon fluval osaka! Curved glass on the front corners. Here's a better pic:

But that's another thread! :D

^ Interesting tank to use, what are the measurements on it? it seems to be quite a tall tank? although if you want to keep the info under wraps for now, i don't blame you...

Anyway, i should be off work in an hour or so, so i'll updated pics later when i get home tonight...

24”W x 24”H x 17.7”D. :D

The whole reason I don't want to just plant it is because I don't want to mess with plants on the substrate with that height. I can deal with a couple low maintenance things, but in serious planted tanks I really prefer carpets. And I don't want to run co2 on it.
So, raise the main planting area to about 12" high and up, AKA paludarium setup, and viola!

Looks like the right side has started to grow in ... got any new pics closer up?

I dig this set up. But what is more amazing is the background. Live colored orange walls, wood flooring, and the window moldings is artsy. BTW - I'm doing molding in the house now that I'm done with my hardwood floors.
