Ok so I did go pick up the tank that I was considering buying on this thread

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=355156&highlight=72x30x36

I was originally going to cut the center overflow out to make more use of the footprint, but decided it would be awesome to turn the overflow into a tree so the fish can swim around the tree for a very natural tank

This is all still a work in progress but I wanted to upload the pics from when I brought it home. It was supposed to be only the tank for the price I paid, but after driving 3 1/2 hours to pick up the tank the seller tells me he wants me to have the stand and canopy... unexpected but I was going to do my best to make it happen. If I would have known what all it came with I would have had a U-haul, but too late.

OH! and the stand and canopy came with all the doors, but they had already been removed so instead of replacing them for the move we put them in the bottom of the stand to weight it down. it needed all the help it could get, This was the most intense drive I have ever made. I got there in 3 hours flat, close to 4 to get home and 3x as much gas haha

I also want to mention it will still be a while before I actually set this beast up for multiple reasons. First being the project of turning the overflow into a tree (waiting on the virgin cork bark to get here)
and 2nd we just bought a house and are waiting for the paperwork to get finished so we can move in. So instead of setting it up for a month and draining it and moving it again in a month I will store it for a month or so and set it up first day of moving in ( I have media in other filters getting bacteria to speed up the cycle process ) Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Thanks everyone, will be a slow setup, relatively slow since I won't be moving for a month or so, this house paperwork is slow going, plus waiting on the cork bark to come in so I can build a tree, wow that sounds retarded lol. Till then I am working on the filtration, a DIY wet/dry using one of those drawer storage container things inside a 50g rubbermaid tub. I will post pics of that progress tonight.

Thats going to be sick! Nice score on the canopy and stand too. Looks pretty nice from the looks of it

thanks, yeah once he said I could take the stand and canopy also. I knew it was going home with me, I just had to figure out how lol. That stand being vertical in the back of my truck caught a ton of wind, but as long as it fit and was strapped down good enough I was as happy as could be

Ok so I know its not much for an update but thought I would post the little progress I have made of my diy wet/dry I am using the biggest three drawer storage container I could find. In the top drawer (mechanical) I will have polyfiber pillow stuffing and scour pads, the next two drawers will be mainly bio. For bio I have one box of fluval biomax, alot of scrubbies and still collecting more every time the dollar stores get in shipments, and 200 straws cut into pieces to fill in the gaps between scrubbies (got that idea from meako's pond build) The top two drawers I am just drilling lots of holes (most people use a grid to place their holes but I just drill kind of randomly, as long as i got enough holes and spread out even-ish I am okay with it. The bottom tray I plan on cutting out a section and covering with eggcrate so the water can flow out freely into the 50g rubbermaid container. So i know its not much as far as updates go but its all ive got at this point
