  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Beautiful tank bro! I had a couple wrasses that disappeared on me too. I guess it comes with salt water fish keeping.

Epic disaster"..................:eek::nilly::cry:
Went out of town for 3 days, just got the call that everything in the tank has died.....no idea why as of yet....rip to everything...... Total loss:cry:

Sorry for the loss man, this stinks.

As far as the sweetlips/dogfish thing goes...this is why scientific names are so cool :D

omg that is really sad, hopefully you can find the cause and start over, I lost two tanks at the same time, due to my ignorance.

So I'm thinking about upgrading my fowlr filtration....most likely unnesasarry but I'm in the mood for some new toys:naughty:

Here's what I'm currently working with..

350 glass tank
70 sump/refuge
Reef octopus skimmer
Reef octo reactor running seachem carbon matrix
Reef octo reactor running seachem phos guard
72 in full bright t5
24 in full bright t5 on sump
5 power heads for flow in display
1hp chiller
Backup generator

New stuff..

2x 50 w blue led lamps to add a crazy amount of the moonlight shimmer effect
Cost about 25 bucks each I'm really loving the effect, I'd suggest anyone who wants this look to go get some...

What I'm looking at buying

1 72 w uv sterilizer, but vie read so many opposing views on these I'm not sure what to make of them

Nitrate reactor.... I am again stumped as I have seen that you need to run this along side a calcium reactor? Any opinions?

What else would you guys buy or add on to the tank.?

Cool to hear you like your moonlights. Mine always end up burning out.

What is a nitrate reactor?

What do you want the UV sterilizer to do exactly?
