you might need to upgrade tank later on, but a rainbow wolf fish?, they stay smaller than than most. i have a wolf fish(hoplias malabricus) i fell in love wit these bad asses. they rip apart anyhting that hits teh water.

i think wolf fishes need a 55 or a 75

From what I've read, they grow to about a foot long. I don't know how big they grow in captivity though. They would probably be on the big side for a 38. I'm not a piranah expert, so someone feel free to correct me.

RBP get a bit too big for your tank. Could get some exodons though.
Put like 19 in there to reduce aggression.

i wud say an abk!
i got an abk for my 40 gallon and he is my favorite fish!
he eats earthworms and market shrimp and bloodworms right out of my hand
