I was thinking to have some hiding places for him, but what worries me that he will become skitties and hide all the time. These days he always come by the front glass even when people passing by the tank, and often acting like begging for food; very active too. This one enjoys earthworm more than feeder fish.
Getting a wolf fish in my area is very difficult, thus the Erythrinus Erythrinus is at most I could get, thought still took me quite sometimes to order it from the lfs.

Give him some cover. Once he gets used to you he will be out all the time. Mine will come to the front of the tank anytime he can see me. Even while I'm just sitting there watching tv.

thanks, I intend to, hopefully this one gets big soon, as I boost feeding him

Mine wen't from 3" to 6.5" in about 4 months I believe. Then from 6.5" to 8.5" in another 7-8 months. Now he's at his current 9.25"+ and he's almost 3 years old.

I love your ery mudfrog. I had one in a 20g long that was only about 4 inches but he would constantly jump and ended up getting an infection on top of his head I could not fix. That is only reason I am scared to try these guys again. I woul try a bigger tank the 2nd time though.

Mine has always been housed in a 50g or larger. Started off in a 55g, then moved to a 120g, now back to his semi permanent home of the 50 breeder. I'll probably pick up a 75 to put him in once I find one for a decent deal here locally.
