Looking into the aquarium exhibit floor standing in the video space.

That tank is beautiful! It must be hard to give it up even though its so much work. I'm curious, what footprint did the tank have? Did you just put the tubes through the floor to the filtration system? I have this nagging part of my brain that constantly brings up home resale value....

If you are that worried about damge to the floors (assuming hardwood or tile carpet is a non issue, just cut a square out and keep it, a good carpet guy could use the cutout to patch it easily enough) then go into the drywall, and down through the stud plate. Any plumber could do this for you (well any compitent plumber) and if the wall is an inside wall its very doable... that said regulations regarding the modification of studs/plates really very... so check with the buidling code on that before doing it. This way if you ever choose to sell all you have to do is patch drywall, rather then patch a floor (can be tricky to patch floors).
