My 500 Gallon 8' x 4' x 25"

Wow Madding, your tank has inspired me to look again @ making a future purchase. Footprint and Price wise, this is so worth it bang for the dollar compared to acrylic @ 3x as much.

I have been living under a rock only lurking in certain threads so I missed this one til now.

Scrolled through 16 pages and you did not mention how many guys it took to move this monster(or I missed it). I am rearranging my office in my head and trying to come up with a way to convince my wife "we" need this tank as I type:ROFL:.

My main concerns in moving this GINORMOUS BRONTISAUROUS MONTEROUS glass box. How much help did you need and what would your recommend?

Thanks,
Nguyen

It took four big, strong dudes, scrawny me and two women to lift it from the ground to the stand.

Getting it from the garage and downstairs involved a blanket, a two-by-four, a rope and a lot of praying.

Was this tank delivered to your home or a pickup point?

Delivered straight to my house, but it was a nightmare because they couldn't get it off the truck the first time and had to leave. I actually had to hire a different company to pick it up from the first inept companies dock and bring it to me.

Be very careful of who you deal with when shipping.

By the way, I recommend more people than the amount I used (see last post). It was really dangerous and we almost lost the tank a couple of times. I'd say 6+ guys with a tank this big.

hows the water? this thing is astonishing, ready for an update!
