that's a great idea. That is one of the most simple setups I've seen and the plants as a biological filter is great for your water. If I were you I'd get a bigger powerhead and run the water over more plants in a larger area. You could also just throw some plants in the tub to help with filtration but you probably don't want to deal with the mess.
