My 55 Gallon Tank: I need help =/

Pretty sure the eel will outgrow a CB Senegal. Where are you getting the size/info from, just curious. If you’re open to upgrading to a bigger tank, you’re selection gets much bigger.

I believe the OP is referring to one of the smaller growing spiny eels of the macrognathus clade, not the larger growing mastacembelus eels. But i could be wrong.

Biggest problem with a smaller eel is that it will struggle to compete for food in a tank with the other inhabitants mentioned imo.

The eel is THE smallest of the Spiny Eel fam. I found a YouTube vid saying that putting food in a plastic bottle and inserting it the tank is a good way, since only the eel could only fir in it ?

Farlowella are not the easiest to keep alive.

A captive bred senegal bichir (what will be available 99% of the time) will be fine in a 55
