Thought of creating a thread for the progress of my 55g. Recently started a thread on an aquascape of it.

contains:

1. 15 red serpae tetras
2. 8 silver tip tetras
3. 15 cardinal tetras
4. 5 honey gouramis
5. 4 balloon mollies
6. 2 glow-light tetras (feeder fish)
7. 1 striped barb
8. 1 yellow peacock cichlid (not sure)
9. 1 random discus
10. 1 rainbow shark
11. 1 common pleco
12. 2 spiny zigzag eels
13. 2 amano shrimp
14. 6 panda corydoras

(Pls don’t harass me or anything, the list seems long cause I have like 5 of one type of fish, and most of these fish are small, created this thread as a progress thread)

thinking of removing the damn pleco soon, never cleans the tank but poops way too much. I thought it would be useful but it’s absolutely useless.

don’t harass
It's just the difference between the fish keeping standards that seems that way .
Oveeeeerrrrrrrsttttooooocccckkkiinnngggg is way common here in Asia . You've also gone overstock a bit but as far as you maintain the water it should be fine . It's just the African that'll get nasty and "harass" others and maybe the spiny eels could make a snacc of some small inhabitants .

Yup! Been told about the African cichlid in another thread, however it does not harass any of the other fish, only slight aggressiveness during feeding. My spiny eels just hide in the gravel all day, have never once harassed any fish.
I know my tank is slightly overstocked, not very as shown in the pic, but I’m planning to remove some and add a centrepiece fish soon. (After the aquascape)

that knifefish and eel are gone eat all ur fish in a year to be honest. Or they die before they can eat everything swallowing a corydora. Also you should actually get sand for that eel. Otherwise his snouth is probably gone end up sore. What might end up as him not eating and dying eventually.

Its a great tank but i dont think a knife fish or that spine eel are a good match up with tropical community fish.

He fed the CK to his aro

no "Largish oddball" comes to mind that could live in that setup with your current fish
Knives, ctenapoma, bichirs would eat the fish . African Butterfly fish could be a choice or maybe a kissing Gourami .
Could also do some small exotic catfish maybe ( not exotic plecos ) catfish.

You don't mention the clown knife fish in your post but it is in the photos? Do you think it is something else?
Not to beat a dead horse but the tank is overstocked and not a mix that is likely to work out in the long term. I do however like your rocks and driftwood.
