My 55g aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Did he though?
I'm pretty sure he's well aware of the risks of feeding wild caught fish to other fish.
its not only about the risk. Its about taking fish out of africa, shipping them from there to a shop. While halve of them die. And then the fact that he might end up as a feeder. That makes me mad. they are living animals. give some thought into it..

If you are against the trade of wild caught fish,i hope you realize that even if you don't purchase any wild fish you are indirectly supporting the trade as well.

I’m not feeding the ropefish. Some may find feeding feeders as an issue, but I personally don’t mind it. The fish I fed was a clown knife, which was INTENTIONALLY bought as a feeder at first, but was questioning whether I could have kept it or not.
When everyone advised me not to, I went back to the original plan as a feeder fish. It had been in my 55g for around a week, if you found quarantining an issue.
I don’t feed feeder fish often, probably only tiger barbs once every 2 months from a farm which already quarantines them.

im not against. I dont buy species who are threathened. But im against taking animals from the wild without the intention of giving it the proper care.
If you would catch fish out of the wild and transport them over a long distance just to use them as feeder fish, then thats what i disagree with.

but apparently that isnt the case here luckily

And with proper care you dont need to buy fish often. Most of my fish are already 4 years old. And all(except 1) of them are bought from the hobby instead of the shop. But thats also because i cant seem to find predator fish in the shop
