My 55G Tank

no on the sharks...they will need a huge tank!
 
You could get some exodons or a few piranha (if only temporary and purchased small)
 
how about a some sort of pike chichla(sp) or redfin pike 12inch max.
 
oh i forgot all about the pikes...well kinda (i did mension SA/cichlids)...but those guys are awesome looking and fun to watch...definitely something to look into...just beware they aren't exactly for the novice fishkeeper
 
i know build a shrink ray and have pbass and aros in there, or you can do a Sa tank with dicus tetras and clown loachs.
 
I just discovered firemouths they are so cool i want one lol i know waht fish i want this is my list of what i want if i can get oscar YAY but if i can't get a oscar next in line is a firemouth ect.

Contrary to what most will say the Oscar can be kept in a 55 for quite some time BUT you will not enjoy it after a while because it will require much more work to keep clean. I would say go for the rest of your list and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get atleast one odd ball fish so you can discover them early on and avoid getting bored with common fish! ha ha odd balls are the best!

if you want to be satisfied get severums, it took me long enough to figure it out so i'm not pushing it, little oscars are the most fun but only one in a 55
