I am not a model fishkeeper when it comes to overstocking....................But holy hell:WHOA: :WHOA: :WHOA:  ........Thats nuts, you need a 550 gal for all those fish not a 55.................and like i said i usually never say anything of the sorts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

your answer to why the tank is clowdy is your bio filtration cannot keep up, and your nitrates / nitrites are most likely through the roof!!!!!!!!!!!

good luck!!!!!!!!!!!:) :grinno:

short answer, yes!!

wow i think u may need more filtration for that bio-load. like u said it clears up for a day after a w/c, becauz all that waste just comes back the next day. i would suggest a lot more filtration

I would bet there is nitrite present, and nitrates must be something around 100 ppm. That is absolutely why your water is cloudy, along with the food waste produced by the messy eaters. Lots of particulates.

without further information...
my 2 top sugguestions would be...
1. Don't feed as much
2. more/better filtration

I agree. Also, reducing your fish bioload would definitely help.
