Larger tank doesnb't guarantee peaceful tank. I tried and they tend to fight even more. More current created in there will distract them from each one another.

even though this is good info, it doesnt make up for the fact that there is no way even one of those aros could make it past a year in a 55, and even that is pushing it. i had to get rid of my first aro i had because he outgrew a 90g in 8 months. 6" to 20" in an amazing growth rate.

Personally I would start thinning them out. Even if they make it to 30" that's a monstorous food bill and it seems (no offense here because alot of us are similar) but that you can only afford/fit something in the 180g range. Just thin it down to 1 or at least 3 and get a bigger tank

I have 1 jar in a 180. he's 3yo and I'm shopping for a much bigger tank.
Please do your fish a favor and house them in an appropriate sized tank.
