Cool, thanks. I will be going to lowes today!!!! Also sice my scrubber is getting going pretty good now, do you think if i went with a flex tube that is the same size I.D. as the o.d. on my 3/4" hard pvc, i could just use hose claps to secure it, without having leaks? I hope so because I don't want to shut the sump or the scrubber down for more than a few hours.

Thanks again,
David

oops, fleshy I messed up and read your post wrong. The pump on the skimmer is an odyssea ex250. I hate it. It's loud and touchy, and i can't do a mesh mod on it. As for placement of the skimmer, i tried it three different ways. first(before my sump) it was hang on the back, too much adjustment. Then when i made the sump I tried it in the sump, didn't like that either, 10 gallon sump + water evap+ to much adjustment. Now it back to hang on the back, with the sump keeping the tank water level steady it works much better. Getting good foam 24/7 now with no adjustment except at cup emptying time.

In the pic it's hang on the back by the way.

Sorry i read the question wrong,
David

You should be able to do that with no problems. Just watch it to make sure it doesn't leak. Sometimes it takes a while to show.

It's been 2 or three days now since i did the flex tube. It seems to be holding great. It's a good tight fit to begain with and then i hole clamped it as well. thanks for the advice.

Hey guys sorry this is off topic but how do i post a message?

This should be in a different section. A how to type thing.

Since you asked however, I assume you mean a thread, your own thread.

It is right by the top bar above stickys that says Threads in Forum:General Salt. The button you click is NEW THREAD.
