my 8 mo old trimac unknown sex

Nice looking male.


Not sure at what size they get it but females will have black blotches on their dorsal.

Nice Trimac-what do you mean by blotch on the dorsal fin-cause mine has one and i Know it is a male-within 5 months grew from 1 inch to 8 inches!

If it has a black blotch on the dorsal, I wouldn't be too sure it's a male. Female Trimac grow fast too. You should start a 'sex my Trimac' thread.

Yeah shamrock, I hate to burst your bubble but a big black blotch on the dorsal means "female". Females also grow fast until 8-9" and then start slowing down. make a thread and post some pictures and we can be sure.
