My 800 Gallon Plywood tank build

How many gallons of epoxy did you use on this tank? And what did that sheet of acrylic run you?
 
I have no doubt that this thing is "strong" enough to hold the water. But what I see happening is that these huge expanses of unsupported plywood will start to bow over time. Once that starts happening, its over. I think this would eventually happen even if it had double the laminate and plywood.

I think this is a possibility. Even a basic 2x4 framing may help. It will hold water strong for sure, its just time.

One of the things to keep in mind is the use of the epoxy coatings. In essence, he has created a tub within the wood enclosure, just as most of the plywood tanks. the epoxy will aid in keeping th structure together. You have to figure that most plywood tanks are just one 3/4 layer with pond liner in them and they hold for 10+ years.

That epoxy does nothing to add to the structual rigiditiy of the wall, it only water proofs it.
