Anyhow the thing I did when I found out I was to be a Dad ... started growing my hair long (have some clippings of his 1 yr. haircut with my 13" ponytail). But that was me.
This is our new passion together for at home.
All in all he's a pretty active kid, so I'm quite pleased to see his dedication myself. But it's something that was never forced on him. We kept the first tank cause he wanted it (5 yrs old) but so did I. It became my tank. In time he showed interest, and eventually got a tank from me. The only time he wavered taking care of the tank, all I did was tell him I'd gladly take it back and use it for myself. Since then he feels ashamed if he forgets something ... he truly cares for his fish and plants. And now he has his 29G and the 30G that we originally started with in the beginning.
