Day 6 (6/13/09): Well their all officially free-swimming. Oh man I thought I had like 60ish tadpoles, but now that their free-swimmiing they congregate to the left side of the tank. There's probaly a minimum of at least 150!!! Will get pics later, I guess their eating the powdered Hikari Bites, they will zoom through the cloud of it.
Day 6(still): I am going to feed them twice a day at least. Also the temp is at 71, when their bigger, I will take the temps up for faster growth, now their still fragil so boosting temps might screw with them and I could lose all of them.
Day 8(6/15/09): UPDATE!! with pics. Well got come pics up, they have grown a lot since last you all have seen them. These were taken about midnight on day 8. I did a water change, and vacuumed out some of the sand. The sand was making it look like a fungus was growing or something so I started to take some out. I've seen pics of these tadpoles to a ruler when their close to changing and they were 3 inches each. With 150+ 3 inch tadpoles in just a 20 long, alot will die. So I want to get one of them plastic tubs , the long ones that are only like 5-6 inches deep and keep them in there. It would have more of a surface area, so that should help....a little.
My cam, actually took some pretty good pics, I was impressed with a few of them.
ENJOY!
Feed the senegals, catfish, and the adult ACF's(they don't know the diff plus they would have if left to instincts).
Keep a few probably if any seem unique to me, maybe even sell some. The male is albino, like full out albino with the red eyes and everything so it's going to be cool to see what happens. If some will be grey/brown, albino, or like albino skin but normal eyes.
