How legitimate ? Haha
Well first off he's a member of Ohio Cichlid Association owns a reputable store where you can tour his hatcheries in the basement. Somethingfishy is the name of his store if you would like to view on YouTube. Also does order fish from other sources. I wonder if it's possible what Milingu Milingu stated.
I did Google Taiwan Reef Hap and noticed a difference.

I'm going to man up and take this as forgetful issue on my behalf. I am very green when it comes to African Cichlid. N newworld I have nothing but respect for you as a veteran member.

I believe Tiawan Reef is a collection point at Lake Malawi. Theoretically any variety of African Cichlid captured at that location could be labeled "Tiawan Reef- Hap, Mbuna or Alunacara.
Here's a pic of a male Tiawan Reef Hap I once kept.

Yes,Taiwan Reef is a collection point and as I recall only one fish is referred to as such as its trade name...years ago when I was into them there used to be a shop here that regularly brought in all kinds of rare African cichlids. The resident cichlid guru scolded me when I pointed out how nice looking a particular "peacock" was....."that is not a peacock, the name is on the label" he bellowed before rolling his eyes and walking away.Great times at that shop lol!

I still doubt that there is any Aulonocara at Taiwanee reef. I checked several of Ad Konings books and some other Lake Malawi books I have. Nothing.
I also googled Aulonocara Tainwan reef. You get exactly one hit and it leads you to a video showing an albino Protomelas sp Taiwan reef /sp steveni taiwan.
And the fish we are talking about is defenetly not a Protomelas sp. Taiwan reef / sp. steveni taiwan.
