my african tank

I am not attacking you for the stock list. I said I would never recommend a setup like this. I prefer to keep my fish in larger tanks. Some of the fish you have should out grow your tank. If they have not, then they are still young or they are not reaching their normal length.

The fish in question is a melanochromis auratus

Remember you asked for stocking comments. African cichlids are aggressive, you may have a good balance going is all.

i would like a larger tank but for now it works...yes i did ask for stocking comments...the way i saw the responce seemed like it was a selfdistructing tank that wouldn't work in the long run...not that it was a big deal... i knew there would be some disagreeing with the list to be honist i didn't think some of the fish would work but they did...none of my fish are stunted and continue to grow the tank has vering age groups...i was seeing if anyone has had the combos if not all in a tank and what their exp. was...thanx for the id btw...

i did have tsn babies in the tank awell but a tank freed up so i took them out before they ate my cichlids...

now the tsns are in a 20gal...once there big enough not to be eatten by my 15' silver aro or my 10" florda gar they will go in my 6'x2'x2' and after that i will construct a 10'x5'x3' tank...you didn't sound like a jerk some people think that these cats can say in a 55gal for life, i have seen it first hand...

now my balas are 4.5-5" so there fine...the reason their in there is my tsns could eat them...the other option is a 20gal...they wont go in the 20 and when my tsns go into a diff tank later the balas will go back with my tinfoils in a 6'x2'x2' tank...along with most of my 55gal...since they all get along...

That's one "Motley Crew" of a fish tank......very surprized that the Bala's aren't tormented by the Mbuna's you keep.

I never would have believed it but you have the pics to prove me wrong.

I'm happy you can keep all your guys under one roof!
