My agressive tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
5 or 6 red tailed black sharks will constantly fight with each other without doing too much damage. For real impact put in 5 or 6 black sharks which are same in behaviour but get to 2 feet +! That is what I want to do in my mega tank.

maby i should have stated it clearer. ii have a 55 cycled right now. Me and my brother share the rent on a house. my brother is moving and said i could have either his 125 or 180 but i cant have the fish that are in it. when i mean agressive i ment as in. i put in some food it just shredds it to peices nothing left at all.

I have mutiple tanks i take care of each with its special needs. i enjoy taking care of tanks. i can support a full on time though i wouldnt have the heart to cut puffers beaks thats why i dont own any.

I would agree w/ exodons or wolf fish in the 55.. 125-180 I'de lean towards some of the larger SA cichlids. Dovii and Odoe's come to mind but I've never personally owned either of these and i believe the Odoe would need larger?.. possibly the Dovii too. a single male or pair of the other SA cichlids would also fit the bill I think. Piranha's as well, there are many species out there. flowerhorns also have a rep, but personally i'm not fond of hybrids.

just be careful with a "mean" tank. smaller fish will get beat on and it sucks. you will probably find yourself buying another large tank to separate the fish.

if you want to see a frenzy without comparison you HAVE to get a shoal of piranhas!

But if they are illegal for some reason in your country, then i would lean towards some of the highly aggressive african predatory cichlids. These guys can be alot scarier than piranhas when dinner is served, but it isn't the same kind of frenzy like having piranhas.
