I can not get my gar to eat non live food he ate one frozen shrimp but now he bits them and spits them out. what should I do?

Keep trying. My Floridas eventually learned to take some pellets. They love thawed tilapia, freeze-dried krill, silversides.
I would try thawed fish fillets. Some gars are more stubborn than others when it comes to other types of food.
ok ill try looking at my LFS to see if they got some or ill have them order me some. Any brand better than others?
he isn't eating anything I even did the whole garlic extract on his food he just is stubborn and wants live food!
I've tried skewering the shrimp and hanging it in and just letting it drop to bottom he ate one at first but now bits it and spits it out he tries to poke at it to see if it moves but still won't eat it.
The freezed dried floats. My only ate live till I found the freeze dried. I tried the frozen, no deal. It sank straight to the bottem.
